The health-tech startups on this year's list include Canada, China, Israel, France, England, and the United States.
"Digital Health 150 this year is the edition with the most extensive global coverage that we hold, covering the best private companies in the health sector from 18 countries," said Anand Sanwal, CEO of CB Insights. Apart from the diversity of locations, said Anand, the companies included in this list are creating health service innovations in various related sectors.
"The winner of Digital Health 150 last year received recognition and managed to get a total funding of nearly USD 5 billion. We certainly can't wait to see the achievements that the winners might achieve this year," said Anand. Responding to this list, Jonathan Sudharta, CEO and Co-founder of Halodoc admitted that he is honored to be able to return to the list of Digital Health 150 from CB Insights. "This recognition is certainly a motivation for us as a startup company created by the nation's children to continue to innovate in providing the convenience of equitable health access for all Indonesians," said Jonathan.
Jonathan hopes that this achievement can be an inspiration for the local startup ecosystem in increasing competitiveness and proving that Indonesia is able to compete with global companies. CB Insights' research team selected Digital Health 150 from hundreds of applications that entered considering a variety of factors, including patent activity, investor quality, analysis of media news sentiment, Mosaic score, market potential, collaboration, competitive landscape, team strength, and technological innovation.
