Instagram unveiled their new Instagram Business Tools a month ago. Consists of Business profiles, Insights, and Promote, Instagram plan to launch it in the near future while trialing to certain number of people around US, Australia, and New Zealand.

The move is considered as a further step of maturing business to start bringing in revenue. Instagram claimed they have more than 500 million users, and more than 200,000 companies using the platform to promote their business.

Equipped with a “Contact” button located beside the “Follow” button, people now can easily access to maps and directions, and the ability to categorize the business by type. For business owners, the tools look alike with Facebook’s own page insights tool, which displays reach and impression numbers alongside fan growth rates. Business owners also allowed to select target audience to whom they can promote a post.

Because social networks are changing, the point is that business owners or marketers need ot adapt things quickly since there are critical features in terms of allowing them to maintain a real presence on Instagram’s site, and make their accounts stand out to consumers.
